I was buried at
Eccles
Half a mile from the sea
But the waves kept working
Searching for me
And over the
years
My coffin crept
Slowly towards the beach
Step by step
And then one
night
In the fiercest storm
The earth from my grave
Was washed and gone
And my bones lay
there
Exposed and white
Under the raging moon
That night
And the sea it
began
To wear me away
Ground on the shingle
Night and day
For I am a man
From a lost land
Whose last remains
Turned into sand
